We know there’s a story behind every product.
We know you’d rather buy from a friend than a faceless company.
We know you’re stoked to come along for the ride.
Why build Trail One?
Would you rather buy from a friend, or a faceless company? Documenting the journey will be our focus, not a footnote. Companies are just people, and people always have a story to tell. The success of Jeff’s online bike shop and Brian’s YouTube channel prove that there is still room for contrarian thinking in the bike industry. We want to build a team of people that can see how the mainstream is faltering and give mountain bikers the products they deserve.
Why the name?
Lots of different reasons: We're giving back $1 for every product we sell to the trails. We're always looking for that ONE trail, the best of the best. It also harkens back to the first trail you rode that unlocked the magic of mountain biking.
$1 for every product?
We're setting aside $1 from every product we sell to give back to the trail stewardships and mountain bike clubs that build and maintain the great trails we love. If a product is named for a particular trail system, that's where the $1 per product donation will go. If the product doesn't have a trail system associated with it, the $1 will go into the Trail One Treasury and be awarded to another trail system in need.
How will you compete?
If we focus on our community of fanatics and obsess about solving their problems and filling their needs we will get there. Our gear has to ride great, look great and make a connection or we will blend in with other companies that slap their sticker on a piece of gear out of a catalog.
