"Santa Barbara, California, often called the American Riviera, full of raw, rocky, exposed mountains bordering the Pacific Ocean. The remarkable crew at SAGE Trail Alliance maintains over 250 miles of trails there & beyond. These were routes once used by the local Chumash Native Americans to navigate the mountains, stretching from the ocean to the backcountry. Numerous trails plummet 3,000 feet into the city, offering miles of single track with million-dollar views. The task of preserving, restoring & constructing these trails is formidable, yet the SAGE Crew excels, even extending their expertise beyond the Santa Barbara area.
